July 12th, 2007 - New Firmware Versions Posted
The Samsung Korea Site was redesigned last week and they put in protection to prevent direct downloads of the links by unregistered users. So I downloaded and posted the newest firmware versions on the forum for everyone here. I'll redo the download page soon to use the new links, but until then check out that forum posting for the latest updates. There are new versions for the YP-U3 and T9. And if you find that the latest firmware version for your player is missing then put up a post and I'll try to get it up for you as soon as I can
May 11th, 2007 - New Firmware Versions Posted
The newest Korean firmware versions have been posted for the YP-T9, and K3. They include some extras that the North American/European versions don't have - the K3 firmware for instance comes in 3 different GUI colour themes. Check them out in the downloads section

September 4th, 2006 - The Site is Back Up
Sorry about the outage everyone - the domain provider didn't do the transfer as it was told to and so the domain expired. It's all been resolved though and everything should be back to normal : ).

Just got back from my trip and now up are new firmware versions for the YP-Z5, YP-T7F, YH-J70, YP-F2, and YM-PD1. Check them out in the downloads section.
June 18th, 2006 - New F1 and T8 Firmware Posted Along with T8 Games

June 2nd, 2006 - New MT6 v. 3.180 Firmware Posted
YP-MT6 Firmware v 3.180 ups the file and folder limit - it seems now you can have up to 2000 files with up to 200 folders. The low file limit of around 385 has been a sore spot with users for so long, so hopefully this will fix that. It also includes a couple of other enhancements. Recovery Mode may be required if upgrading from a pre v.2 firmware, but later versions should upgrade normally. Check it out in the downloads section.
May 16th, 2006 - New T55, PD1, F2 and U2 Firmware Posted
Sorry about the long delay in posting this update here, all these new Yepp players were not previously listed in the Downloads page or anywhere else on the site, and this fact coupled with a bunch of things that happened to me are why it took me so long to make this update. Enjoy, and especially since this is the first posting for these players, comments on how they work for you would be great.
Also, I've added the latest T7 firmware. The relation between the T7 and the T7F is unknown, though the T7F's firmware is much newer, its version umbers are much lower. And once again, feel free to post anything relating to the players to the forum - this is online for all of us : ).
April 18th, 2006 - New T7F Firmware v. 1.14 Posted
It's stated as "function improvement and error correction firmware." Hopefully it should give whatever upgrades/fixes you've noticed, like the recent 2.360 version for a bunch of the other players. Check it out in the downloads section of the site.
April 14th, 2006 - New MT6, T6 and MT6D Firmware v. 2.360 Added
This firmware provides a fix for a few errors that have been found in the previous firmware versions, and many of which were posted on the Forums. Please visit them for more details on the fixes. Unfortunately it does not seem to include the increased file limit that the F1 Firmware did, but it does add some new functionality (depending on the player). Note that in this case, the MT6D and MT6 firmware versions seem to be the same in terms of hashes (Research done by riky and iGold). More details on all these things can be found on the forum.
April 7th, 2006 - New F1 Firmware v. 3.220 Added
This firmware may provide a fix that many people have been looking for in the new Yepp MP3 Players. Namely, it bumps up the file cap to 2000 files, in 200 folders. The reason for this fix may partially be that new Yepp players are set for release with 2 GB storage capacities, thus necessitating the higher file limits. The other fix of this F1 firmware is to improve the timing estimates of low bitrate WMA files.
March 23rd, 2006 - New T6D Firmware v. 2.310 Added
It's a brand new release today - based on what people have said about the MT6D firmware, I'm pretty sure this will upgrade any T6 to use the latest functionality as it did for them. Some have said it very much improves the stability of the player, along with other improvements. Check out the forum for more details on the T6D/MT6D debate.
February 14th, 2006 - New U1 and MT6D Firmware Added
The new U1 version is v. 3.120 and the MT6D version is 2.310. The difference between the MT6 and the MT6D is unknown. If anyone has any comments or ideas on what that might be, please post to the forum. Also note that the Latest Firmware Master Listings on the Downloads page are being editted, and be sure to check out the forum. All the recent firmware versions I've posted on the site appear on the Downloads page, but some older versions may only exist on the forum at the moment, and newer versions may be added there before I post them on the site proper (though I will update the Master Listing at the very list as quickly as possible).
Also, if you have any suggestions or comments or complaints about the current firmware versions for your player, please add them to this post by davevdmeer. Your issues may be resolved, as his was with the Startup Beep on the C1 (see below news). So be sure to leave your comments, and be sure to second any comments you agree with so that when this reaches the firmware engineers, they will know what to give priority to.
January 31, 2006 - New C1 Firmware v. 2.290 Added!
This firmware is unrelated to the previous one that removed the startup beep. This one was posted to the Korean Site, and it fixes some bugs, and improves low-bit WMA files, and a language setting issue. It also makes the system more stable and contains a FM area selection option. This most likely does contain the startup beep, which the customized 2.240 firmware removed, but the stability and bug fixes may be worth the upgrade.
January 21, 2006 - New C1 Firmware v. 2.240 Added!
This firmware removes the Startup Beep. It was created for Dave van de Meer after he spoke to Samsung Tech Support about this issue. It may reduce the number of totals files that play by 2 files to 383. But it does remove that really annoying Beep - At least in my opinion, it's definitely worth it. To the best of my knowledge, this is a completely exclusive file that no other site on the web has at the moment - you can get it from the Downloads Page now.
January 20, 2006 - New Firmware Update Guide Added
This guide contains contributions from kindofblue and Logozo and is designed for the YP-MT6 - though it is definately applicable for the newer models. The Latest Firmware section has been redesigned to accomodate the new posting.
January 19, 2006 - Latest Firmware Master Listing
Here is a listing of the latest firmware versions of the various MP3 Players:
This is all based on the Korean Firmware versions - If there is a version listed here that is not for download on the site, please make a forum post and request it and I'll put it up ASAP.
November 9th, 2005 - YP-MT6 2.290 and 2.121 Firmware added to Downloads
These new versions of the MT6 are now hosted on this server. There is a debate about which is better, though mostly the problem is that neither gets around the 500 song limit so there is no clear best MT6 firmware at the moment. You can check out the Forum for more info.
November 5th, 2005 - New Site Features + Update
You may have noticed that there hasn't been much activity on this page as of late - that's just here. I've been so busy lately that I haven't been updating the News and Download sections at all for a couple of months now. The Forum though is going strong - be sure to check out all the new posts - some have links to new firmware versions and there's a lot of great discussion going on there. I've taken some time aside today to improve a few site services, and I can now say that this site is fully PDA Compatible. When I next get a chance, I'll be adding an MT6 Firmware Upgrade Guide to the site, so watch for that to be coming soon.
September 1st, 2005 - New YP-T8 and YP-F1 Firmware Upgrades Added
YP-T8 Firmware 1.32 and YP-F1 Firmware 2.140 have been added to the site.

August 25th, 2005 - Recovery Mode and Firmware Problems
There have been a number of issues in the past day or so concerning the new firmware posted on the site in the past week and the need to use Recovery Mode to install some of the updates. Please see the following posts for more info on these problems - And make sure to check if the Download Section Lists any version you plan to upgrade to as a Recovery Mode Update. There are a lot of advantages of the new versions, but note that Improper Installation Could Potentially Kill Your Yepp, so please check first.

Hope this new Lyric Station version fixes the problems some of you have mentioned having with v 2.1, enjoy.
March 14th, 2005 - New Firmware Upgrade Added - YP-T5 v.3.520
Not much new recently, its been getting quieter when it comes to the audio players now that Samsung is expanding the Yepp line to include video players as well (which this site does not support at this point).
This though is a new upgrade for the T5 that just came out today, it is mostly a speed upgrade for that player and fixes a few minor issues.
Check out the Downloads page for the...download - enjoy : ).
